Not much to blame though, since Microbiology is, well, a memorization subject. Also, I do not like the stuff toys hahaha. Moscatello does more blabbering than what one may write for side notes. Histology by (I don't know his name! He's the one who just reads his slides word per word!) For the latter, I'm talking only about Dr. Very, very informative and amusing at the same time, c/o Dr. Embryo parts are very good and be careful not to skip them as he intersperses them throughout the adult organ systems.īiostatistics, Epidemiology, Beh.Sci. Seiden lives up to that "old and wise" stereotype of professors. Still very valuable for someone who found these subjects crippling back in med school. Reichenbecher were good add-ons for Molecular Bio and Genetics. Emphasizes a lot on those co-factors which you'll find are repeatedly asked in UWorld. Seriously makes those nosebleed subjects a lot easier. Turco is the bomb! He explains all those metabolic pathways so seamlessly + some aspects of molecular biology. I did all Kaplan videos + notes except for Patho (I did Goljan audios + notes instead) and here's what I can say from retrospect:īiochem. A good attempt by the lecturer but notes are the problem. ![]() See only if you really want to, I would'nt call it a waste of time. Lecture Notes on Microbiology are shallow & some other review book (CMMRS is what I prefer) must be added for prep. Read Kaplan Immunology & Immuno portion of Levinson. Immunology : The lectures don't help much despite Dr.Moscatello's best efforts. the guy teaching General Principles is also very, very good. Pharmacology : Raymon is the best ever teacher in the whole wide World. Goljan : Must hear and annotate simultaneously. If you wanna stay with Kaplan do the old Barone lectures. Please buy another resource like Pathoma to solidify your concepts. Pathology : A Must See subject, but boring lecturers. Molecular Biology : For those whodon'tget the hang of his subject.Must See. Neuroanatomy : Good, but practice a lot of Images from HY Neuro or the Net Histology : Covers the subject but not in detail. but they teach the limited material they present well. Physio : May not encompass the whole subject. My days are very short since I have to work, so I do not want to spend time on someone reading and skipping essential concepts for me. confusedĪt the end of the day you should go through the material on your own. Some teacher explaining all the concepts to you. Lectures matched this imaginary picture perfectly. I liked the idea of videos, because I have lazy personality and at the back of the mind I was always looking for the magical formula to take the test or for someone to make all the job for me. I decided to start reading on my own and that works the best for me. It is time consuming and not very productive. And my overall test performance was around 50-60%. likes to tell same jokes over and over and his "Mr.Jones" stories were really annoying), than Pathology (Barone - handsome guy, nice voice. I spend all the summer making myself watching Physio (Kudrath W. David Seastone) and Pharmacology (Raymon) were the ONLY useful vids.
